Jamie Stevenson is an economics graduate from Cambridge who, after serial career failures in the 70s, found unlikely and fortuitous redemption as an equity research analyst in the City through the 80s, 90s and noughties. In the kingdom of the blind (and b******ting), Jamie enjoyed a brief moment of what passed at the time for stardom with his one wonky but honest analytical eye. His main retirement gig since 2003 has been lecturing on Masters courses and supervising dissertations at the University of Exeter Business School where he is a member of the Finance faculty. He also lectures to first year undergraduates at the Cass Business School in City University, London. A good way to keep his hand in at crowd control. Not joking. He writes for the Financial World magazine but likes to extend his blogs beyond financial analysis into politics, sport, theatre, literature and the inanities of digital trivialisation which risk wrecking the futures of his five grandchildren. And yes, the photo is ten years ago. Keep meaning to update!
